Spring street fooding

It may still be January but fresh off the plane from a short trip to Italy, with my stomach still full of pasta amatriciana and my brain hazy from the smell of some of the best olive oil I have ever tried (look up VignaMaggio if you get a chance), LSF is getting excited about the spring.
Noone can give me dates for anything just yet – we’re all playing endless guessing games – but come March or April, Exciting.Street.Food.Things.Will.Start.To.Happen:
We’ll finally see @Eastival that most of us still know nothing about; I hear also that StockMKT is coming back to Bermondsey Square and The Long Table to Dalston. Eat.St says it has plans for a new market, Jez of The Bowler says he is working on something in west London and, finally, a newbie called Urban Feasts comes to town. All I know at this point is that it will be a daily street food court opening in a few months’ time. I’m thinking Brick Lane’s Sunday UpMarket but somewhere else…
Anyway, stay tuned for some official opening dates in due course.

p.s. no 1. Alyn Williams did a good job with his Cornish Sunday lunch today at Red Hook in Farringdon. Carl Clarke is said to be doing the next one so I will leave you to check @RedHookLondon for updates.
p.s. no 2. I was asked to write a piece for the Evening Standard’s comment pages about the changing London food scene for last Friday’s edition. Here it is if you’re interested with a mini mention of LSF.
